The Plot
Single 33 year-old Ko Byung Hee works as a reporter for a sex magazine. She wants more romance and a more respectable life but isn't sure how to get it.
24-year-old Park Chul Su, mechanic and world traveler, is the younger brother of Byung Hee's best friend. He's a free spirit and not concerned with what the world thinks.
One night the two old family friends get drunk and wake up in bed together. Ko Byung Hee wants to forget it ever happened, especially since a good marriage prospect has just made an appearance.
Unfortunately for her, Chul Su has other ideas....

The Cast
Despite the age difference, you'll tend to believe in Byung Hee & Chul Su's love story; and once you are done watching, you may even wish for a younger man for yourself (lol).
The drama was made more lovable with the support of a very well developed secondary characters - I love Chul Su gangsta like sister and Byung Hee's ‘I want my daughter to get married respectably like everyone else' mother. I especially love the sister and brother dynamics between Seong Hye and Chul Su as well as the best friend relationship between the former and Byung Hee.
And throwing in the gaudy sex and fart jokes (though some may find them offensive, don’t worry…they are few and far between) just caps everything off.
Word of caution though....not for the under-18...strictly ahjumas only (lol)!

Foxi Feels
Can any drama be more real and endearing than this?
Some may be put off from the synopsis alone - an older woman and younger man in a romantic relationship may not be attractive for some.
But trust me….you'll change your mind after watching this.
Aww...Aren't they just so cute...sigh |
The best thing about this drama is that the producers didn't try to make the heroine any less younger looking than her real age, or the hero any older or more matured.
Chul Su is very much the rascal 24 year old that he is, while Byung Hee is definitely the 33 year old noona. Yet from the very start you cannot help but to root for the couple and hope for the happy ending they deserved.

However, I may have to disagree with some reviewers that the Ko Joon Hee - Park Byung Gak relationship is cute. Personally, though I do not have any qualms about an olderman-much younger woman relationship, I do find the older man's possessive (and obsessive) style a little bit disturbing.
All in, the story is fast paced enough and endearing enough to get me hooked and finishing it within 3 days (despite housework, office work and fanfiction writing), which is no small feat : ) even for a drama-fanatic like me.
Ko Hyun Jung is just so believable as the 33 year old Ko Byung Hee; although she was better when she did not try too hard to be cute.
And 10 pages will not be long enough for me to gush over cutie Chun Jung Myung. His smile, his tears, his eyes, his wrinkly nose, his youthful energy, his sadness, his happiness, his forcefulness, his laidback ways...oh, the list goes on and on....
In other words,What's Up Fox is a definite recommendation for those who likes sweet RomComs. And those who don't....(lol).
